Altered lung environment during aging and diabetes: Impact on tuberculosis

The aim of this study is to determine the impact of old age and/or diabetes on: i) alterations in the composition of broncho-alveolar lavage fluid (BALF), and ii) the functional consequences of these alterations on the outcomes of Mtb infections upon in-vitro exposure to mononuclear cells.
