Who can be a donor?
Any person over the age of 18 years who had a positive SARS-CoV-2 (virus that causes COVID-19) rT-PCR test using nasopharyngeal swab
The donor must have anti SARS-CoV-2 antibodies in the peripheral blood
How long after SARS-CoV-2 positive test can a person donate plasma?
At least 28 days after the confirmed SARS-CoV-2 rT-PCR
-OR-
If the symptoms persist after a positive SARS-CoV-2 test, then 28 days after the end of all symptoms
How would this benefit the donor?
Potential donor would be tested for anti-SARS-CoV 2 antibodies and the results will be shared with the donor
If selected for plasma donation, donors will be provided with a modest stipend ($50)
Will the donor be charged for these tests?
There is no cost to the donor for these tests.
