Research Networks

Oracle Cerner Learning Health Network

The Cerner Learning Health NetworkTM (LHN) offers resources to help researchers launch or further their research capabilities. The LHN is a nationwide network of diverse health systems that share de-identified, real-world data to help advance clinical research and trials. The LHN is designed to help health systems:

  • Access a network of sites, de-identified data and research resources
  • Conduct high-volume, efficient trial and outcomes research
  • Receive the opportunity to generate revenue through funded research studies
NIH Strokenet
NIH has created the NIH StrokeNet to conduct small and large clinical trials and research studies to advance acute stroke treatment, stroke prevention, and recovery and rehabilitation following a stroke across the lifespan. This network of 27 regional centers across the U.S., which involves approximately 500 hospitals in the U.S., is designed to serve as the infrastructure and pipeline for exciting new potential treatments for patients with stroke and those at risk for stroke. The StrokeNet trials also collaborate with sites in other countries including Canada, Germany, United Kingdom, Spain, and Japan. In addition, NIH StrokeNet will provide an educational platform for stroke physicians, clinical trial coordinators and stroke researchers.

DHR Health Institute for Research & Development has partnered with REACHNet, a partnership of health systems, academic centers, and public health organizations that constitutes an innovative data network for conducting efficient, multi-site research (

Through this partnership we will be facilitating patient-centered clinical and health outcomes research.

Organized under the tutelage of Louisiana Public health Institute and funded by PCORI, other members of this consortium include:

Since its founding in 1956, SWOG has established a rich trove of resources. Its online clinical trial and publications search tool includes more than 1,400 trials and over 4,000 trial publications and presentations. SWOG's biorepository includes over 800,000 blood, tissue, and other biological samples. All of these resources are publicly available in order to advance cancer research worldwide.
WIRB-Copernicus Group (WCG)

WCG is the joining of two revolutionary companies (Western Institutional Review Board and Copernicus Group) with a common goal to provide the researchers who perform clinical trials with the highest quality of services to accelerate the scientific advancement of human health, while ensuring that the risks of progress never outweigh the value of human life. WCG strives to speed study start-up, reduce cost, improve data quality, and ensure compliance of research projects.

Our affiliation with WCG will ensure that all regulatory and compliance standards are met when conducting clinical trials. DHR Health Institute for Research & Development will benefit from the world’s largest Institutional Review Board-Institutional Biosafety Committee network with oversight of more than 200,000 protocols covering virtually every therapeutic indication and help provide our organization with modernizing and digitizing the IRB processes, and making our IRB office more efficient. WCG will also help us engage and access some of the world’s best clinical trials and simplify the management of our entire clinical research portfolio by linking study status, patient enrollment, calendars, budgets, electronic data capture and more.
